Leaflet printing is being used by Leeds City Council to help promote Yeadon as a shopping destination.
According to the Wharfedale and Airedale Observer, the local authority has produced 2,000 copies of a new leaflet advertising traders and encouraging people to visit the recently-refurbished town centre, following a consultation with residents and shopkeepers.
Councillor Colin Campbell said he and his colleagues wanted to promote Yeadon "and show people what a great place to visit it is".
"Yeadon is full of wonderful, independent retailers. I would encourage anyone to come along and take a look," he continued.
The leaflets will be distributed around public buildings in the town and contain information on shops as well as a map and bus routes.
Recently, Shaz Memon of Digimax Dental advised dentists to produce their own leaflets rather than displaying those from suppliers in order to reinforce branding and convert more people into clients.
